Transportation Project Experience
Ron has acted as a Project Engineer in the 1980'as on several utility, roads and bridge projects in the USA and across every province in Canada. Eventually, in the early 1990's he performed the role of Contracts Manager for a large bridge and roadbuilding company and Project Manager for all of the utility works on the first phase of the Highway 407 Toll Highway over a period of three years, and for all of the aprons, bridges and roads on the Lester B. Pearson Airport Redevelopment Project over a period of seven years. Ron's last on site project, acting as Project Manager, was that of a 100MW Wind Farm in the province of Ontario, which included civil, mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
As Construction Engineer for the contractor consortium on the Highway 407ETR Project, and Project Manager of the Civil Works of the Lester B. Pearson Project, Erie Shores Wind Farm Project and several utility projects in the USA and Canada,
Ron has become very familiar with civil, electrical and mechanical works on large scale infrastructure sites.
Ron has also prepared an expert report related to the assessment of damages incurred by the compensation grouting subcontractor on the Spadina Subway Extension Project due to delay impacts, extension of time and termination for convenience, which included Expert testimony in an arbitration proceeding.
